Job Overview:
Upstate Shredding - Weitsman Recycling is seeking an experienced and dynamic General/Sales Manager to oversee our New Steel Division at our Rochester/Owego locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations while driving sales growth for our steel products. This role requires a blend of strong leadership, operational management, and sales expertise, with a focus on meeting customer needs, enhancing profitability, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee operations, inventory, and logistics, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a cross-functional team of sales and operations staff, fostering a collaborative environment that drives performance and achieves key business objectives.
- Drive sales growth through new business development and maintaining customer relationships.
- Lead and manage a team, providing mentorship and fostering high performance.
- Build strong customer relationships by offering exceptional service and timely issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years in steel operations and sales, with a proven track record in leadership and achieving sales goals.
- Skills: Strong leadership, sales, and customer service skills, with proficiency in CRM systems and financial analysis.
