We are therefore seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Technician to join our newly launched H2 Center of Excellence (COE) near Boston, MA.
Job Summary:
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in our R&D and production process. You’ll be responsible for assembling, processing material and maintaining electrolyzer equipment used in hydrogen production. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and commitment to safety will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble Electrolyzer Units:
- Follow detailed assembly instructions to put together a variety of sub-assemblies and final assembly of electrolyzer stack.
- Perform material processing.
- Insure proper alignment, tightness, and functionality of all parts.
- Conduct quality checks to verify the integrity of the assembled units.
- Perform factory acceptance tests.
- Operate and Maintain Equipment:
o Operation of manual hand tools and power tools as required in assembly and validation work.
o Operation of material handling equipment, including manual and electric powered.
o Operate manufacturing machinery related to electrolyzer production.
o Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition.
o Troubleshoot and address any issues promptly.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect finished electrolyzer units for defects or irregularities.
- Report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results.
- Ability to create manufacturing documentation.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Handle hazardous materials if required.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other team members to meet production targets.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and engineers.
- Cleanliness and Organization:
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Dispose of waste materials properly.
- Follow 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
Requirements:
- Associate degree or high school/vocational degree with experience is preferred
- Two (2) or more years of related work experience; experience within a technology manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- High degree of manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around manufacturing demand.
- Ability to operate a computer and perform computer transactions accurately.
- Quality focused and detail-oriented
- Team player with a positive communication style
- Ability to stand and/or and sit for long periods of time in performance of job functions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Must be capable of working independently, in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision.

- Must be able to travel up to 25% when required.

Salary: $28-36 per hour depending on the appropriate experience.
