Advantage Capital is a leading impact investment firm dedicated to fostering sustainable economic development and social equity through strategic investments. The Associate/Vice President of Sourcing will be a key member of the investment team, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing investment opportunities that align with our firm’s mission and strategic objectives. This role requires a dynamic individual with an understanding of impact investing, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record in sourcing and closing high-quality investments. The Associate/Vice President of Sourcing Southeast will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive the growth and success of our investment portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Sourcing:
- Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities that align with Advantage Capital’s impact and financial objectives.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of high-potential deals.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in target sectors.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, co-investors, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to enhance deal flow and market presence.
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to support their growth and impact objectives.
Strategic Leadership:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the firm’s overall investment strategy.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in impact investing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment sourcing, private equity, venture capital, or related fields, with a focus on impact investing.
- Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiating, and closing investment deals.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for driving social and environmental impact through investments.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to travel as required.
