JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to assist the permanent Education Technicians develop and present curriculum-based, resource education both on and off-site and conduct community outreach programs and activities. LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: Selectee must be proficient in both English & Spanish (Reading, Writing, & Spoken). These positions may be filled for a six-month seasonal period, but can vary due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: March 2025. Major Duties: Assist the permanent Education Technicians, providing services in both English and Spanish. Prepares and presents curriculum-based educational programs both virtually and in person and develops and presents youth programs for all levels of students. Uses a variety of presentation techniques and education philosophy and methods. Presents formal interpretive programs, conducting informal roving visitor contacts, staffing the visitor center, and assisting with the junior ranger program.
