JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in Alaska Regional Office, in the Division of Facility Maintenance. MAJOR DUTIES: This position serves as the project execution supervisor for the Alaska Region Facility Management Division. Major duties include: Providing professional project management (design and construction services) to park units including engineering, architecture, and construction management services. Managing projects in programs such as Line Item Construction , Repair-Rehabilitation, Regular Cyclic Maintenance, Housing Initiative, and Environmental Management Program. There may be as many as 50 ongoing projects in a fiscal year, ranging from $25K to $20M. Most projects are rehabilitation in nature (e.g., utility systems, building rehabilitation, campgrounds, roads, water and wastewater systems), with occasional planning for new construction. Serving as the single point of overall technical and administrative responsibilities, accountability, and authority for ensuring that the programs are completed on all projects, many of which are highly complex and multi-phases. Providing supervisory oversight for the Project Execution Branch team's engineers, architects and program managers who are tasked to help parks identify project needs, scope projects, see projects through design and construction. Participating with daily implementation of projects including procurement, contracting officer representative (COR), and inspection responsibilities.
