This is an interdisciplinary position and is being advertised concurrently with the following announcements: Open to all U.S. citizens under: USGS-RES-25-12575262-DE-KF MAJOR DUTIES: As a National Space Policy Liaison within the National Civil Applications Center, some of your specific duties will include: - Working closely with the National Coordination Office (NCO) for Space-Based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing, DOI and USGS PNT and space policy personnel from the National Space Council Executive Secretariat at the White House. - Pursuant to U.S. Space-Based PNT Policy, support DOI's equities on behalf of the NLI Program Coordinator and in concert with other senior leaders. - Identifying potential CAC, Interior, USGS and interagency working groups, communities of interest, and other forums that further advances interagency collaboration in PNT and space policy. The employee briefs and establishes such groups when necessary. - Facilitating the development of new applications leveraging data and information from the DoD, Intelligence Community, and Federal Civil agencies bringing together analysts and scientists from across the US government with academia, industry, and nongovernmental organizations. - Engaging researchers and policy officers within the DoD/IC to understand PNT related intelligence; provides support and interagency remote sensing collaborative opportunities in the Federal Civilian community, following all applicable security guidelines. - Advancing interagency and joint projects.
