Salary: $55,924 (Step 01) to $72,703 (Step 10); NOTE: First time hires to the Federal Government are typically hired at the Step 01. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Financial Specialist within the Office of Accounting and Finance Management, some of your specific duties will include: Generates accurate and timely invoices; shows attention to detail when reconciling accounts to ensure data accuracy. Analyzes financial data and processes problem-solving skills addressing discrepancies or issues with accounts. Provides an understanding of procedures and regulations required to apply to daily tasks. Reconciles accounts receivable balances and applies analytical skills to resolve issues. Reviews, analyzes, and acts on statements of differences for deposits and disbursements. Assists in the reviewing and development of training presentations, tip sheets and standard operating procedures. Mets many deadlines; month end, quarter end and fiscal year final close.
