Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Vice President of Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE)
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their "waste" into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods.
The Vice President for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) will spearhead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of practical HSE strategies, policies, and programs to support a rapidly evolving manufacturing operation across the United States. The focus will be on building scalable, risk-based procedures and systems to elevate the organization's HSE maturity to industry-leading standards.
Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:
- Develop and implement HSE strategies, policies, and procedures that support the organization's goals and comply with all relevant regulations.
- Establish a scalable HSE framework to support the rapid growth and evolution of manufacturing operations.
- Drive the organization's HSE maturity to industry-leading standards.
- Develop, implement and manage a strategic road map that is based on incremental improvement to attain a level of maturity that is industry leading.
- Lead the development and implementation of risk-based approaches to identify, assess, and mitigate HSE risks.
- Ensure that risk management practices are intuitive, adopted at all levels of the organization including at the individual level and are integrated into all operational processes.
- Create and implement programs to evolve and enhance the HSE culture across the organization ensuring a fostering of ownership at all levels of the organization.
- Engage with employees at all levels to promote a proactive and positive safety culture.
- Develop and implement robust but practical systems to monitor, measure, and improve HSE performance.
- Use metrics and data to drive tactical resource allocation and decision-making.
- Continuously evaluate and improve HSE programs to ensure they meet the needs of the business.
- Communicate HSE strategies, policies, and performance to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including the executive team, management, and frontline personnel.
- Serve as an influencer and advocate for HSE initiatives, building strong relationships across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE regulations and standards.
- Prepare and present HSE performance reports to company leadership.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and industry groups.
- Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a safety management role within manufacturing or industrial environments, with at least 5 years in a leadership position. Preference given to prior experience in manufacturing, construction, and O&M environments
- Professional certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred
- Thorough knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and NFPA regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and safety management software
- Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to travel to various company sites as needed
- May require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during site inspections
- Comfortable working in industrial environments, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Willingness/ability to wear respiratory protection or other safety equipment
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Wage range for this role is between $150,000 – $250,000 annually
- Discretionary bonus
- The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
