POSITION TITLE: Connection 2 Community Clubhouse Program Manager
Company Description: NAMI San Diego (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a nonprofit organization that provides free education, support services, and advocacy to improve the quality of life of everyone affected by mental illnesses.
Primary Responsibilities/Function: The Program Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Connection 2 Community Clubhouse and Homeless Outreach Worker mobile teams that support housing insecure and unhoused adults and older adults with mental illness. The Program Manager will utilize Project Management strategies to implement effective use of resources and programing from business and administrative planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing actions designed to accomplish overall program objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall program operations, including fiscal and administrative management, risk management, quality assurance, contract compliance and development/implementation of policy and procedures.
- Provide and oversee regular leadership, training, supervision and recognition to direct staff and members, oversees team/member meetings.
- Oversee quality of direct services ensuring adherence to International Clubhouse professional standards and best practices.
- Review and monitor files and data related to required documentation adherence.
- Demonstrate knowledge in cultural and linguistic competency, co-occurring and gender responsiveness and trauma informed care practices.
- Facilitate, review, advocate, educate and link to needed benefits and services, i.e. SSI/SSDI, Cal Fresh, birth certificate, identification, and Homeless Court. The ideal candidate has a firm understating of social services and the skillset to access them.
- Oversees facilities and safe work environment by ensuring equipment is in good operating condition and maintaining a clean and neat workplace.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Accountability: Reports to NAMI San Diego Director of Independence and Housing.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Minimum Requirements, including linguistic and cultural skills, education, experiences, licenses and certifications:
- Effective management and leadership style to maintain positive morale and cohesion as evidenced by maintaining a cooperative attitude toward coworkers, adaptability to change, applying appreciative language skills and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of Biopsychosocial Rehabilitation (BPSR) principals.
- SOAR benefits application and determination process for SSI/SSDI trained or eligible within 90 days of hire.
- Coordinated Entry, Service Point, VI-SPDAT, HMIS, and ClubHOMS certified/trained or eligible within 90 days of hire.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Anthropology, Public Health, Business, Community Development, and Therapeutic Recreation; or five years related experience and/or training in key leadership roles, in non-profit setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of supervisory experience in a similar work setting.
- Five years of experience working in the field of human services at a non-profit organization.
- Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing using lived experience as a peer.
- Basic knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel) and web navigation.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Reliable and consistent attendance.
