SiteWorker is seeking dynamic, state-certified journeyman electricians specializing in solar electrical installations for commercial projects. The ideal candidate will be skilled in installation, troubleshooting, and maintaining solar electrical systems across various locations, including San Diego, Los Angeles, Inland Empire, Bay Area, Sacramento, and Hayward.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble, install, maintain, and test solar electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings.
• Prepare work areas for solar system installation.
• Install solar electrical components per code and job specifications.
• Connect wiring and solar equipment according to industry standards and specifications.
• Operate certified equipment such as powder-activated tools, hydraulic benders, and lifts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to ensure accurate solar system installations.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances for solar installations per project specifications.
• Secure and store tools and equipment after use.
• Maintain compliance with state requirements for journeyman electrician certification.
• Demonstrate experience completing solar projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Maintain a strong understanding of building codes, especially for solar installations.
Physical Demands & Requirements:
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and inclement weather.
• Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves) at all times.
• Capable of working 8-10 hours per day, including overtime and night shifts as required.
• Perform essential job functions such as crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, lifting objects over 50 pounds, and pushing/pulling heavy equipment.
• Physical labor comprises more than 70% of the job duties.
Qualifications:
• California State Journeyman Electrician Certification (required).
• Proven ability to complete solar projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Strong working knowledge of solar building codes and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
