Job Title: HR Generalists
FLSA Status: Exempt
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am to 6pm
Reports to: Vice President of Human Resources
Location: 5225 Tech Data Drive, Clearwater Florida, 33760
Position Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including for a staff ranging between 80-115 employees.

25% Documentation / Filing
25% New Hire Onboarding and HRS Updates
10% Providing Coverage as Needed
Duties:
Onboarding: facilitate the onboarding process for new hires at a company
Workplace policies: enforcing company policies and practices
Pay: resolve any problems with employee paychecks.
Employee relations: resolve disputes between employees and document employee terminations
Benefits: assist employees with benefit enrollment and general questions
Workplace safety: address employee safety concerns
Hiring: provide backup and support for recruiting department
Report concerns and issues to corporate office
Responsibilities:
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Degree in Human Resources or another related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
Ability to communicate with internal and external team members
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships
Good listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail
Strong working knowledge of google suite platforms
Ability to multitask and prioritize own workload
Employee focused approach with adaptability to new situations
Environmental Factors & Physical Requirements:
Positions will require employees to work in a call center/office environment. Employees will be exposed to sounds and noise levels at various levels, over-head lighting, computer monitor lighting, and will be able to work near other people.
