Role description:
As a Junior Energy & Sustainability Consultant you will be a fundamental part of Arcadis' success and growth.
You will be involved in innovative energy efficiency projects, supporting you colleagues in sustainability management practices regarding:
• Materials and Waste produced, including pollutants and noise
• Energy and water management
• Compliance with energy and environmental legislation.
Role accountabilities:
- Support ESG DD & Reporting, including Carbon DD, CRREM and EU Taxonomy;
- Support LEED & BREEAM projects on energy efficiency topics / credits;
- Implement "green assessment" with particular focus on GHG emission and carbon footprint;
- Implement energy modelling for different asset classes buildings
- Identify the most appropriate energy efficiency solutions through the preparation of energy diagnoses, accompanying the customer in choosing the most suitable interventions.
- Accompany colleagues in field visits and surveys throughout the national territory;
- Support feasibility studies for access to incentive mechanisms;
- Implement Lyfe Cycle Assessments (LCA) for embodied carbon calculations;
- Collaborate with your colleagues of inter-disciplinary teams for technical due diligence and design assessments
Qualifications & Experience:
- Around 1 to 3 years of experience in consulting activities for the sustainability sector;
- A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering; (other engineering backgrounds would be accepted in case of relevant experience);
- Excellent proficiency in English (Minimum B2);
- Good proficiency of the following software; IES-VE, Termolog, One Click LCA;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Availability for business trips on the national / international territory.
Nice to have:
Sustainability credentials (LEED, BREAM, WELL etc.)
EGE Certification
Project management certification PMP or similar;
Experience in design activities
Good knowledge of LEVELs framework and other international energy-environmental protocols
