Job Summary:
The Architecture Department at Barnard College seeks a part-time instructor to teach ARCH UN2103 Architectural Design: Environments and Mediations during the Spring 2025 semester.
Job Description:
Course instructor for Architectural Design Environments and Mediations during the Spring 2025 semester.
Instructor will develop a syllabus in alignment with past courses and in conversation with the Department Chair.
The exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities are determined by the Chair or Director.
Strong candidate already identified.
Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
Advanced degree in related discipline.
Terminal degree in related discipline, strongly preferred.
Prior teaching of undergraduate students preferred.
Must be proficient in design software including Adobe Creative Suite and Rhino.
Must be available to teach on Monday/Wednesdays or Tuesday/Thursdays mornings during assigned times (9:00am – 11:50am) in alignment departmental studio course offerings.
A cover letter, sample syllabi, teaching evaluations, and portfolio are required upon application. Please be prepared to share three references upon request.
Course pay rate: $12,500
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
