Intern/Co-Op will contribute to a fast-paced growing team in the Facility Engineering department and will perform tasks both independently and by working closely with team members to ensure that objectives are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering calculations and prepare design documents to support the construction of industrial and commercial facility infrastructure;
- Design wastewater treatment systems and chemical delivery systems including system and component flowrate calculations, equipment retention times, and support the fabrication and installation of wastewater treatment equipment;
- Support the preparation of environmental permits, including wastewater discharge permits;
- Support the performance of wastewater treatability studies, laboratory scale treatment evaluations, and pilot scale treatment studies;
- Conduct field visits to active facilities with engineers and technicians, and assist with sample collection of environmental media and wastewater.
- Review and analyze lab data, perform quality control/quality assurance checks, and support the integration of the data into our database;
- Prepare written reports for assigned wastewater projects;
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and industry experts within the Facility Engineering division;
- May assist in preparation of proposal estimates of time and expense required to complete the project; and
- Performs other related work as apparent or as assigned and performs all such work in a safe manner, consistent with the firm’s policies and procedures.
Education and Skills Required:
- Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Environmental or Chemical Engineering;
- Must be a team player and possess a collaborative attitude;
- 3.0 GPA or higher;
- Sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication, writing, and computer skills;
- Willingness to learn and adapt to change;
- Be self-motivated;
- Prior internship and/or related engineering experience are a plus
