About The Job
The position is based in the Paris Area, France.
This position is a corporate position.
The primary focus of this role is to actively contribute to the definition and roll-out of the environmental strategy consistently with the Operations, the QHSES (Quality, health, Safety, Environment and Security) teams and the Sustainability teams throughout the entire group.
Strive for continuous improvement and excellence in overall environmental performance and the management system.
Strive to increase the environment visibility, awareness and commitment within the group
Actively participate to the group reporting, internally and externally
The role which you will play.
You will play a crucial role in contributing to the environmental strategy supporting the Group Environmental Manager.
You will steer, deploy and coordinate consistently the implementation of the environmental strategy throughout the group.
You will be responsible for driving the organization forward in terms of environmental performance, ensuring a continuous improvement in overall environmental performance.
In your day-to-day task, you will directly manage the Environmental data analyst and you will be supported by the Environmental network located in T.EN Operating Centers present across the globe ( also called OC).
You will work closely with department / function contributing to T.EN environmental performance such as Operations (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Project ), Tendering, Business Lines, Sustainability & Strategy Department and the QHSES teams across the group.
You will initiate, propose and develop new ideas, supporting the Group environmental strategy.
International travels can be required.
The Global Environmental Operations Lead report directly to the Group Environmental Manager, part of the global QHSES Organization (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Security).
The scope covered by the Environment department includes: Water/effluent, Waste/material, Biodiversity, Pollution, Climate physical risk, Circular Economy & Eco design and any topic related to environment that may arise. You are committed to driving the organization forward in these areas and ensuring that the organization is a leader in environmental performance and governance.
Responsibilities
Steering and implementation
- Deploy, steer and coordinate the environmental strategy implementation consistently with internal stakeholders such as Operations, QHSES teams, and Sustainability team in line with T.EN policies and strategic orientations.
- Ensure consistency of the environmental approach within the group.
- Develop and maintain environmental management system
- Strive for continuous improvement and excellence in overall environmental performance and the management system. Propose and conduct relevant action plan.
- Drive and monitor environmental KPI
- Define, develop indicators allowing to drive and monitor the performance of the strategy and strive for environmental excellence.
- Ensure compliance with code, standard and policies is enforced.
- Support T.EN Operating Centers in obtaining/keeping their ISO 14001 certification.
Communication
- Actively contribute to internal communication plan to raise and enhance the environmental culture within the Group, to share strategy, objectives, environmental performance, …
- Participate to external communication
- Regularly Communicate notably on commitments and results .
- Management of internal stakeholder as required to fulfill duties
Reporting
- key contributor of the internal and external environmental reporting including the annual reporting (ie. CSRD)
- continuously improve the process and tools required to enhance and strengthen environment matter within the group .
Main Skills
- Leadership and project management (committee management, action plan implementation, extra-financial reporting, regulatory watch).
- Excellent knowledge of implementing environmental management systems.
- Sound ability to summarize and to report on complex technical issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English language (Level C2).
- Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment and excellent teamwork skills.
- Eager to contribute and be impactful.
- Strong networker.
Experience
- Experience in driving a team and a Global Organization.
- Experience working with multi-cultural and international teams.
- Implementation of Environmental certifications.
- Driving digitalization projects within the Environmental scope.
- At least 8 years in a similar position.
Education
- Master's degree in environmental management or a relevant professional qualification, like ecology, or energy efficiency.
