A Day in the Life at MKS:
As a Product Environmental Compliance Engineer at MKS Instruments, you will partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing teams to assess product compliance, create compliance plans, and draft environmental attestations. In this role, you will report to the Director Operations, Global Product Compliance.
You will Make an Impact By:
Closely partnering with the Global Product Compliance and product development teams globally to assess worldwide product environmental compliance.
Providing input for designing for the environment, and utilization of safer materials.
Staying current with global environmental standards and regulations through communications with third party suppliers and training.
Working with global business units to ensure development compliance and legacy product continued compliance.
Completing customer requests for product declarations or attestations of environmental compliance.
Assisting with third party supplier requests and receipts of queried information from suppliers.
Drafting quarterly newsletter for companywide distribution.
Skills you Bring:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Materials Science Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a relevant major.
40 hrs a week. Spring 2025 to Extend Summer 2025 & possibly longer.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
Some knowledge of technical documentation such as BOM, schematics, and drawings.
Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
Ability to research and gather information on a global level.
Preferred Skills: (Optional)
Knowledge of product environmental regulations such as RoHS, EPA TSCA and PFAS.
Some knowledge of compliance requirements for FCC, CE, KC.
Building or working with databases.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00 hourly. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
