An experienced Environmental Planner with a minimum of 10 years of experience in leading or directing the development of high-quality environmental analyses including CEQA and NEPA documentation and client deliverables for both public agency and private sector clients. You have prepared and have comprehensive knowledge of policy planning, related regulatory permitting, and relevant regulatory and environmental regulations and processes in California. You are an effective team member and communicator who proactively identifies and contributes constructively to address broad project or team issues, providing mentoring and coaching to more junior staff to foster teamwork. You are a planner who has significant experience working on CEQA and NEPA documents and permits for transportation-related projects such as those associated with federally funded projects with Caltrans oversite. Work with power generation, renewable energy and other infrastructure (e.g. water) projects is helpful. You possess excellent oral and presentation skills and have led and directed marketing and business development pursuits including developing capture strategies, and leading proposals, interviews and presentations. You have a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, planning or related field. You have the following skills and experience:
- 10 years environmental analyses experience
- Firm understanding of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
- Firm understanding of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
- Experience with Caltrans and FHWA, LA Metro and FTA a plus.
- Posses strong technical writing and editing skills.
- Proficiency in project management and marketing experience.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Comfortable working on multiple project assignments concurrently.
- Capability to work and interact with clients, maintain project budgets and schedules.
- Ability to provide technical expertise to design staff is essential.
- Desire and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet accelerated deadlines.
- Able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to travel
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.

The projected range for this position is $102,000-$137,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
