POSITION
As the Climate and Environmental Research Lead at Allspring Global Investments, you will be joining our Sustainable Investments team who partners with our specialised investment teams and key functional areas to implement sustainability inititatives on behalf of our clients. In this position, you will lead Allspring’s understanding and integration of the investment implications of climate and other key environmental themes, collaborating with Allspring’s investment professionals to spearhead investment research and co-create strategies that deliver client’s investment and sustainability objectives.
We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advance Allspring’s climate and environmental investment research capabilities for equity, corporate fixed income, and other asset class use cases.
- Spearhead Allspring’s climate transition investment framework to drive sustainable investment strategies.
- Lead Allspring’s cross-asset Climate and Water Working Group to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Create thought leadership and investment strategy collateral to support investment teams, client portfolios, and enhance Allspring’s market presence.
- Foster and nurture relationships with industry experts to enhance climate and environmental knowledge within our investment platform.
- Enhance Allspring's sustainable investment value proposition through engaging clients and prospects and conducting business development activities.
- Take the initiative to cultivate robust business partnerships with different individuals to achieve successful implementation of investment strategies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of consulting, investment management, or equivalent investment experience.
- Extensive knowledge of climate change and other environmental themes and their investment implications.
- Demonstrated expertise in working with climate and related data to generate investment insights.
- Excellent analytical skills, including synthesizing, organizing, and evaluating data and qualitative inputs.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with investment analysis and knowledge of valuation techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Proven track record of delivering results, applying a sense of urgency, and bringing projects to closure in a decisive manner.
- Extensive knowledge of the asset management industry, including key trends, investor types, and relevant regulations.
- Equivalent experience in finance or economics, such as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or an MBA or other advanced degree, will be considered.
