ERM is seeking a motivated Consulting Associate, Environmental Compliance who is interested in participating on a variety of projects covering the full spectrum of ERM’s services, to join our consulting firm in Portland, OR or Seattle, WA.
In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers on environmental compliance, management systems, and due diligence transaction projects. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical assistance on environmental compliance, management systems, and due diligence transaction projects.
- Prepare plans, permits, and reports for storm water, spill prevention (SPCC), chemical storage & reporting, wastewater, waste and air quality (optional).
- Perform environmental compliance assessments/inspections and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support the development of environmental compliance and management system programs.
- Provide general environmental compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance as needed.
- Perform Phase I environmental site assessments to support property transfer transactions.
- Perform multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
- Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively manage projects.
- Participate in compliance audits.
- Develop management system standards and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in engineering, environmental science, or related discipline.
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
- Field experience conducting SPCC and SWPPP inspections/sampling at client sites.
- Knowledge/experience reading and interpreting regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Local candidates preferred.
For the Consulting Associate, Environmental Compliance (Entry Level) position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $60,475 – $70,440 (USD). An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above. This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary based performance bonus.
