Responsibilities- Executing aquatic health and toxicology projects for the mining industry, primarily within Canada but also internationally
- Assisting with the design, implementation, and reporting for aquatic health assessments, aquatic monitoring programs, and toxicology investigations, while also being involved in proposal preparation, including development of work plans, schedules, and cost estimates
- Applying critical thinking and analytical skills to manage large datasets, with emphasis on quality assurance/quality control
- Working closely with your colleagues in WSP’s Ontario offices and beyond on multi-disciplinary projects
- Being well-supported by your colleagues from various disciplines and levels

Qualifications- A university degree (preferably MSc in aquatic toxicology, biology, or related field)
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
- An appropriate professional designation, or are on track to obtain one (e.g., RPBio, P.Chem, etc)
- Experience in the mining sector (preferred, but not required)
- Strong data evaluation skills, including statistical techniques, and a keen understanding of data quality requirements for large datasets
- Proficiency with MS Office suite of products and are keen to grow your skills in new areas
- A proven commitment to health and safety
- A passion for working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team environment, with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and problem-solving abilities
