Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Perth.

As the successful candidate, you will;
- Compile and prepare project specific health and safety set up documentation aligned with the Hatch and client corporate health and safety folders.
- Perform duties and ensure compliance as stipulated in the project Health and Safety Management Plan as documented in the Project Execution Plan.
- Manage and ensure compliance with the Health and Safety requirements as defined in the project Health and Safety Specification.
- Actively engage and participate/assist in resolving Health and Safety issues in the field with construction contractors.
- Promote and participate in the observation processes
- Participate and provide H&S input in construction planning activities on site
- Provide advice, strategies and problem solving to project personnel on all health and safety issues to achieve the goal of ‘no harm’ during the project.
- Review and approve contractor’s safety management plans and safe operating procedures before work commences.
- Lead and facilitate the project hazard analysis and risk assessment process across all project disciplines.
- Ensure the implementation and support of behavior-based health and safety, and the Hatch safety information management system on the project.
- Lead and participate in project incident investigations and reporting and measure implementation of corrective actions from incident investigations.
- Implement and manage the project health and safety audit program and measure compliance with project rules, safety management plans and health and safety procedures.
You will bring to the role;
⦁ 10 to 15 years experience in health and safety, with at least 10 years on site experience setting up and leading major EPCM construction projects or similar.
⦁ Open to fly in fly out projects
⦁ Tertiary level H&S discipline qualification.
⦁ Have a professional approach and have experience leading, coaching and managing a health and safety team.
⦁ Have a practical understanding of H&S regulatory practices and general H&S Systems.
⦁ Excellent written and interpersonal skills who is confident and has clear communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate on site project teams in health and safety.
⦁ Attention to detail and a high level of computer and organisational skills.
⦁ A passion for continual improvement of project health and safety performance
⦁ Demonstrate experience in contractor and client relationship management
⦁ Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with state guidelines.
