Our experienced team offers sustainable design strategies, energy analysis, green building certification consulting, sustainability analysis, and upgrades for existing structures, along with education and training.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Associate to provide leadership and expertise in the design of high-performance, sustainable buildings with a focus on decarbonization, electrification, and pursuing net-zero carbon emissions. Candidates will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams internally and externally to envision and implement innovative environmental design solutions that optimize energy efficiency, facade performance, daylighting, thermal comfort, and life cycle carbon reduction strategies.
Lead the design and analysis of building envelopes, facades, and enclosure systems to maximize thermal performance and energy efficiency.
Lead staff on and conduct advanced simulations and modeling for daylighting, glare, building science, natural ventilation, renewable energy integration, and life cycle assessment.
Manage project and project tasks for financial forecasting and billing in collaboration with the accounting department.
Develop strategies to reduce embodied and operational carbon emissions throughout the building life cycle.
Ensure compliance with green building rating systems, Passive House, and others.
Provide technical guidance on sustainable materials, systems, and construction methods.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to integrate sustainable design principles from concept to construction.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, codes, and best practices in sustainable design and construction.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
Present results and recommendations to clients, ensuring they understand the value and implications of the findings.
Identify and act on opportunities for new projects and business expansion.
Attend industry conferences, workshops, and seminars to stay abreast of market trends and to network with potential clients.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Building Science, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of building codes and standards related to energy efficiency.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
LEED AP, ILFI accreditation preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of Passive House concepts and standards.
