Due to continuing growth in our Rail/Transit practice, we are seeking an Environmental Manager for Alternative Delivery Projects across Canada. This position will be integral in the development and growth of GHD's Environmental and Transportation business groups.
The role can be based out of any of our offices in Greater Toronto Area - Mississauga, Toronto, Whitby, Markham or Waterloo.

Responsibilities:
- Applicant will have the following primary roles:
- Leading all aspects of environmental delivery for major transportation programs (P3/DB)
- Develop and mentor an environmental team for focused project delivery in the transportation market
- Support other markets as it relates to environmental management for alternative delivery
- Develop strategies for environmental services to support alternative delivery.
- Manage all environmental disciplines for project delivery for complex DB/P3 projects
- Work with environmental disciplines to develop and validate cost estimates for project delivery
- Manage and contribute to environmental deliverables for RFQ, RFP and DE phases of major projects
- Interface with Project Managers and production team on resource management, schedule and budget
- Monitor project schedules, coordinate and maintains contact with project stakeholders
- Attend project meetings and undertake site visits during construction as required
- Prepare, track, and administer project budgets
- Liaise with clients, participates in business development and promotional activities for the company.
Qualifications:
- Environmental Engineering or Science Degree
- Professional designation – P.Eng., PGO, RPP, or EP
- Minimum of 10 year’s experience
- Knowledge and experience of environmental best practice and how to practically apply it to large scale construction programs.
- Experience in developing and mentoring team
- Experience working on all aspects of alternate delivery projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in working in the transportation market
- Experience with managing environmental disciplines in an alternate project delivery (P3, DB) model, and experience in managing teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants
- Good knowledge and practical experience of Environmental Management systems compliant with ISO14001:2015
- Knowledge of local environmental regulation and legal requirements
