The Position
You will be responsible for driving the EHS agenda, where Health & Safety will represent approximately 75% of your time and 25% for environmental/sustainability. Working with a wide range of stakeholders will also be an important element of your role, with main collaborators being senior leadership, as well as health and safety representatives and employees on the shop floor.
Your areas of responsibilities will cover:
- Drive mapping and risk assessment of environment or working environment conditions/impact/changes, when introducing new equipment/technology, materials, work processes or facilities etc.
- Provide expertise within fields like environment and working environment like ergonomics, indoor climate, and other relevant EHS subjects.
- Ensure that risk management processes in DCM, like emergency plans and fire risks and rescue plans are in place.
- Support with EHS audits, workplace assessments, incidents investigation as well as compliance reporting.
- Support on E and HS management system processes.
- Lead activities that are in line with Novo Nordisk sustainability strategy “Circular-for-Zero”.
You will be part of an organization located in the beautiful surroundings of Hillerød, in Device Components Manufacturing (DCM) unit. The site is responsible for manufacturing prefilled and durable medical devices used by millions of Novo Nordisk patients all over the world.

Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you should have:
- A relevant academic degree or other relevant education, e.g. Risk and safety management or production engineering.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of Health and Safety, performing risk assessments and driving H&S management system. New graduates with relevant education are also welcome.
- Knowledge about legislative requirements and standards like ISO14001 & ISO45001 and OHSAS 18001.
- Excellent communication skills with experience with working cross functionally and building relations with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English and the capacity to communicate and understand Danish.
On a professional level you have a high degree of independence whilst you are able to influence business objectives and strategic projects to reflect health and safety priorities across the organisation. Furthermore, it is essential that you are curious to understand and gain energy by going on the shopfloor and interact with production.
As a person, you are ambitious, structured and have a passion for Health & Safety. You need to be able to approach tasks with a positive attitude, consider multiple perspectives and deliver high-quality results. Ability to work on both strategic and hands-on tasks is an important to succeed in the job.

Device Component Manufacturing (DCM) is the unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, who is leading in component manufacturing of tomorrow’s devices for Novo Nordisk patients helping millions of people around the world to live with chronical diseases.
