BBJ Group is a growing environmental consulting and engineering firm seeking a project level environmental consultant for BBJ Group’s Environmental Health and Safety Regulatory Compliance practice group. Primary responsibilities include serving clients with various EHS’ needs and fostering new business opportunities while continuing client relationships. This role offers numerous opportunities and responsibilities for a detail-oriented environmental professional.
Sample of responsibilities:
- Provide onsite and remote support to assist the client in defining environmental reporting needs and solution specifications/requirements
- Lead and participate in health and safety audits for client facilities
- Exposure to working with clients in a wide variety of industries, including well-known global companies
- Identify and pursue business opportunities while delivering responsive, high-quality services
- Discuss and explain service offering with recurring and prospective clients, with both technical accuracy and emotional intelligence

Project-level consultants within the Real Estate and Transaction Support Practice group routinely manage projects for a variety of business operations and industries with a focus on commercial and industrial settings that include:
- Air quality permitting and compliance;
- Stormwater pollution prevention and management;
- Spill prevention and regulatory compliance;
- Hazardous waste management;
- Environmental site investigation and remediation;
- Closure assessments using statistical, modeling, and graphical tools;
- Remedial system design and implementation; and
- Environmental, Health, and Safety audits.

Skills and Experience
- Professional Certification (PE/PG/CHMM/CSP) a plus;
- Expert level experience conducting and directing site investigations, regulatory reporting, or ESG related activities;
- Experience with site closure activities;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Flexibility to accommodate travel;
- AutoCAD, ArcGIS experience and OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus.
