Basic Job Functions:
Identifies, organizes, and affects Global capital equipment souring initiatives that will lead to cost reductions, value creation, and process improvements. Operates in highly complex, cross functional, and global OEM business environment. Provides subject matter expertise for core global capital equipment supply chain competencies. Evaluates internal and external customers’ needs and abilities in order to provide appropriate solutions. Delivers input to business requirements for the design of solutions. Analyzes data and discovers patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies, trends and provide factual research findings.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field required.
- Master’s degree in business administration preferred.
- 7+ years’ experience as a business intelligence analyst, preferably in relevant capital equipment sector.
- 3+ years’ experience in project management capacity, preferably in relevant capital equipment business intelligence or data analysis.
- Ability to understand and find appropriate applications for data and analysis results.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics/Axapta).
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Ability to research and identify problems, develop proposals, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others.
- Strategic thinker who can manage long and short-term projects.
- Supported applications in mid- to large size companies. Preferably with multiple locations and geographies (Asia, Europe).
- Ability to handle multiple issues/tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively on phone in-person and via e-mail.
- Need to be able to prioritize and work with various resources (internal & external) to get issues resolved.
- Experience working with international locations and specific location requirements of each.
- Monitor industry, market, and OEM vendor health trends to identify improvement opportunities or risks.
- Support ad hoc analysis which will be an input into a business decision as when required by Management.
- Ability to identify and provide solutions to address specific risks.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Identifies, organizes, and affects global capital equipment souring initiatives that will lead to cost reductions, value creation, and process improvements.
- Performs market research using both internal & external data to drive key decisions as well as process/system improvements.
- Establishes & sustains New Equipment Technology strategic sourcing model (Process & System) to enable capacity expansion with lean mindset & defines balanced scorecard for quantitative and qualitative metrics.
- Collects & analyzes data to provide early identification of potentially disruptive process tool technologies sourced from startups, venture investors, and the academic community.
- Establishes & sustains cost-reduction programs through the use of Cost- of-Ownership (COO) analysis, cost build-up analysis, Should Cost analysis, and OEM vendor competition.
- Tracks & analyzes spend by equipment vendor to drive cost reduction.
- Acts as the SME of Cap. EQP system. Trains & certifies team members.

Reporting Relationships:
- Reports to Head/Director, Strategic Capital Equipment Sourcing.
- This position will be responsible for interacting and collaborating with peers across most groups in the company, including operations, engineering, development, finance, planning and business development.
- This position may have direct reports.
Estimated Salary Range:
- $106,000-$151,000 annually.
Travel:
- Domestic and international travel required.
- 20% - 30%
