Job Summary: The company is looking to recruit an ambitious and energetic Regulatory, Compliance and Liasoning officer, who will help candi to lead the revolution of solar for SMEs. Given that candi is taking solar into a new realm with a new set of tools, the role will require diligence, attention to detail and a new way of thinking.
Specifically, the job requires taking ownership of the following:
- Ensuring that the company is compliant at all times with all regulations related to electricity / renewable (whether for Open Access or rooftop).
- Staying on top of any regulatory changes as well as state-specific regulations, and giving progress updates to management as and when required.
- Driving the regulatory and land (if relevant) due diligence for all greenfield development and M&A investments.
- Coordinating with government entities to get the required approvals.
- Structuring and managing of Open Access deals, including end-to-end clearances and (where relevant) land identification, liaisoning and due driving the required land diligence.
- Participating in the forum of distributed generation regulatory meetings with other developers, statutory bodies and regulators.
Location: Gurugram/Pune/Bengaluru/Mumbai, in a hybrid working environment and travel as required.

Job Requirements:
- LLB /MBA or similar, with minimum 7+ years’ experience in regulatory and compliance space or the C&I and Open Access solar space in India or, if relevant, other asset finance sectors in India, ideally with a focus on SMEs.
- Coordination with internal stakeholders, ensuring process compliance, and providing regular progress reports to management.
- Ensuring regulatory due diligence for all greenfield development and M&A investments during the project assessment, development and execution phase..
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory issues, coordination with governmental authorities as required, developing direct relationships with relevant governmental authorities.
- Structuring and managing of Open Access deals, group captive and others, from a regulatory, compliance and business process perspective.
- Land identification, land acquisition rate negotiation, obtaining land clearances, liaising with landowner communities, local liaisoning, obtaining government approvals, coordination with Construction & other departments for project execution.
- Land acquisition strategies, deal closures with land owner communities, bidding activities, securing government approvals, liaising with local communities and authorities, orchestrating the registrations of leases and/or mortgages.
- Excellent spoken and written english
