Establish, or recommend to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies
Develop and maintain an effective department through the selection, training, compensation, motivation, termination and review of all department personnel
Provide special reporting and analysis of financial information to management
Develop and maintain a program for sound employee relations with all accounting employees
Provide guidance and direction to accounting employees to assist them in their professional development
Establish procedures for reviewing and approving budgeted expenditure justifications and approvals
Establish and maintain all corporate policies related to accounting matters
Administer activities of general accounting, credit, collections, and business planning departments
Collect and analyze corporate financial data to provide management with internal reports
Administer and maintain all corporate financial records including books of original entry, supporting schedules and subsidiary ledgers
Direct preparation of budgets, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification
Advise management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities
Provide for annual budgeting and planning processes to insure long term financial and business strategy
Direct determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets
Advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions
Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies
Arrange for audits
Preform other and all related duties as assigned
