General Manager Position Overview:
As the General Manager, you will develop, lead and manage all business activities of ProSolar’s branches. Responsible for financial and installation management (costs, revenue, and cash flow). This encompasses controlling, performance measurement, planning, forecasting, and reporting. The primary contacts include Customers, Suppliers, Project Managers/ Engineers, Procurement, Legal Department, Operational Review, Residential Project Managers, and central Financial Services.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Essential Duties, Functions, and Core Accountabilities:
Perform Day-to-day facilities operations including basic Human Resources functions
Under the direction of the V.P of Operations and COO, the incumbent will direct all operations for both Commercial and Residential Installations
Optimize business workflows
Analyze data to look at trends and find problems. Develop and prepare Key Performance Indicators for weekly meetings.
Ensure that company policies are followed
Monitor operation metrics to ensure efficiency and profitability
Ensure all crews are operating safely and abiding by OSHA requirements
Create new company policies and processes
Ensure a sustainable supply chain
Monitor employee production and satisfaction
Set team and individual goals
Ensure timely invoicing, reduction of inventory, and collection on time.
Support the responsible Operations Manager/ Project Manager on change management issues (variations) relating to the scope of the project.
Obtain verification and approval of variations prior to submitting to the customer ensuring appropriate costing and pricing (Customer Claim Management).
Constantly assess risks and opportunity and their impact either in the risk register and/or in the gross margin and propose measures to prevent negative margin slippage due to risks that could have been avoided.
Implement and drive measures together with the Operations Manager and Director of Operations to leverage opportunities to improve project performance
Support Operations Manager in timely issuing invoices with a strong focus on managing Account Receivables and project cash flow.
Ensure timely project closure by overseeing the Operations Manager
Influence the team to take positive action and accountability for assigned work.
Ensure people's development through regular or periodical exchange of knowledge and training.
Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the key people (existing and new), thereby improving turnover and profitability.
Assessing the risk to the business of any new opportunities including new markets or services.
Liaising with relevant internal departments to ensure that customer needs are met and that customer requirements are fully communicated throughout the business.
Collating and analyzing business data pertaining to all business activities.
Ensuring that all business activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume, and efficiency targets in line with business objectives.
Ensuring good relations and communications with all members of the team and responding politely and in a timely fashion to internal and external customers.
Ensure the safety of the staff by holding weekly training/meetings
Perform additional duties as assigned and/or directed.

Requirements
Requirements, Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of solar energy experience
Knowledge of principles of strong leadership & interpersonal skills, with examples of exposure/skill of same.
Ability to numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Credible and confident communicator, highly energized and motivated person with high level of commitment.
Ability to manage people, build teams and communicate effectively.
Credible and confident communicator (written and Verbal) at all levels.
Ability to build strong external relationships to enhance and strengthen the company’s profile.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Essential physical requirements included climbing, standing, stooping, bending, squatting, stretch.
Physical effort/lifting up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds; medium - up to 50 pounds; heavy - over 50 pounds.
Ability to work in all weather and ProSolar
Ability to work in confined spaces, such as attics
Must be able to work with heights; ascends/descends a ladder to rooftops.
While working conditions can vary depending on the specific position, this job will require you to be outdoors for extended periods of time.
While performing the duties of this job, required to use hand to handle, touch and use tools, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, twist, lift, reach, push, pull, grasp, balance, talk, hear, and ambulate during the course of employment
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and an ability to adjust focus
Employee may be required to travel for business purposes
