Be part of our Hydrogen growth area
You will contribute to define the Hydrogen strategy for Baker Hughes, with main focus in bringing market knowledge and customer perspective, building a solid long-term pipeline of value-added opportunities while leading the execution of technology and customers’ programs to ensure a proper implementation of such strategy.
You will coordinate and lead engagement with prospect clients, partners and associations, scouting for and managing relevant pilot projects and research, development and commercial initiatives to support the entire Hydrogen Growth Area efforts in properly positioning in the forming hydrogen market.
As a Hydrogen Market Development and Program Manager, you will be responsible for:
Contributing in developing a clear and detailed hydrogen market view for each geography and market segment, understanding key market drivers, trends, needs and players, building a solid pipeline of opportunities to support the achievement of long term goals as per LRP, cultivating the knowledge of such customers and opportunities to pave the way for CTS Sales team follow-on sales and commercial activities.
Partnering with Sales team, Key Accounts, Commercial organizations, Strategic DTI and other CTS Growth Areas to define prospect customers and potential partners engagement strategies, coordinating direct activities with customers in the early engagement phases and, for new technologies, throughout the entire process till effective deployment of pilot plants, properly positioning BH as market leader in the industry.
Looking, establishing, and managing partnerships and collaborations to complete BH positioning in most relevant profit pools.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess in-house competencies and to execute opportunities. Identifying and working with third parties to provide additional skills, expertise and resource to deliver projects.
Liaising with Baker Hughes teams (e.g. Engineering, Incubator, Product Leadership, etc.) and coordinating their activities to define and execute products/solutions validation programs, supply-chain, manufacturing and commercialization set-ups and optimization, supporting also the capital allocation process for new investments.
Providing market inputs to define value proposition from a technical and economic standpoint toward end-users and coordinate cross-functional support for budget proposals and technical offering.
Managing project resources to ensure projects are delivered within the timescales and budget and per program plans, coordinating and actively pursuing external funding opportunities.
Identifying all risks linked to each project and program lead, setting up and executing the required activities to ensure each risk is identified, understood and properly managed, with clear disclosure to the relevant stakeholders during the project/program life.
Developing and monitoring project execution with specific KPIs and reporting.

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a MSc. from an accredited college or university; technical engineering or similar scientific degree would be advantageous
Demonstrate experience in navigating the uncertainty, solving problems and identifying solutions and ways forward to reach corporate’s goals and projects’ completion
Demonstrate experience on Customer scouting and engagement, Project Management, Innovation, Business Development, Strategy
Demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence teams, customers and stakeholders
Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to identify opportunities, engage with potential customers and partners, solving problems, providing resolutions and a clear “make things happen” approach
Be commercially savvy, aptitude for building relationships, understanding of customer requirements and market conditions, ability to negotiate to find win-win solutions
Nice-to-have is an experience in the hydrogen market
Be able to travel internationally to visit customers, suppliers, partners or Baker Hughes locations
Have excellent oral and written communication skills, be fluent in English
Demonstrate experience in the energy industry
Have experience in managing external delivery partners
