THE POSITION
Staccato seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our growing team. You will implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment in this role. This position will collaborate closely with operations, risk management, and insurance teams and support in a shared services environment across Staccato’s subsidiaries. This role reports to the Director of People Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Daily oversight of cross-entities EHS priorities, policies and procedures, risk identification, remediation, and audit coordination
· Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
· Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, as well as a schedule of routine inspections.
· Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
· Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
· Monitors compliance with safety procedures and manages corrective actions.
· Responsible for incident investigation, incident management, reporting, and tracking process.
· Draft inspection reports to document inspection findings.
· Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
· Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and pollutants, as required.
· Guides, directs, and participates in all aspects of EHS risk assessment and the company’s certifications (ISO standards, EPA, TCEQ)
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· A bachelor’s degree in environmental safety, occupational safety and health, or a related field is required.
· Five years of related experience is preferred. (manufacturing a plus)
· Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at a time.
