Job Description and Duties
Under the direction of the Chief Safety Officer, the Executive Analyst performs a broad scope of complex analytical and administrative duties in support of the Chief Safety Officer and the Division's executive and senior management staff. The incumbent serves as the Division's legislative analyst; manages the implementation of the Division's various strategic plans and their associated deliverables; develops programmatic and policy reports, memos, presentations, letters, and more; serves as the Division's Director's Office Tracking System (DOTS) coordinator; and manages the Chief Safety Officer's itinerary. The incumbent will track various action items, assignments, and developments; and follow-up with individuals for information or with those assigned to perform work. The incumbent will assist in developing and reinforcing good internal governance, including developing procedures for various processes of the Division. The work requires detailed knowledge of the Department's organizational procedures, policies, and current issues. This position handles highly sensitive issues which require the incumbent to exercise a high degree of initiative, tact, and the ability to act independently in anticipating problems, needs, and resolutions.

Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in managing an executive itinerary, including calendaring, preparing meeting materials, facilitating meetings, and scheduling travel.
- Experience in providing administrative support to executives.
- Experience in maintaining continuity of operations by developing and maintaining various processes, their associated materials such as manuals and templates, and in making recommendations to management on process improvements.
- Proactivity in planning and executing assignments and projects, especially as it relates to identifying possible issues and implementing solutions.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to a variety of administrative and operational issues.
- Capability to operate flexibly by triaging emerging situations and appropriately adjusting work priorities while maintaining a high level of work quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with succinctness and tact.
- Ability to research, identify, and synthesize complex information for the purpose of communicating essential information while considering impact, risk, and long-term goals.
