Role Summary
In this position you will be on the front lines of the software team helping ensure delivery of quality software to the customers. You will get a chance to have a real impact on the way the vehicles operate and help test out the latest technology.
Responsibilities
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain vehicle fleet software configuration - install over-the-air updates and identify issues that prevent successful OTA
- Conduct daily end-to-end vehicle-level software smoke testing and report results utilizing Jama and Jira as necessary
- Execute manual regression test plans and specific test cases based on documented procedures
- Support ad-hoc test requests for new software under guidance from engineering
- Instrument vehicles and set up test apparatuses such as CAN cases and Ethernet data loggers to collect test data
- Support with initial triage of issues found during testing
- Fabricate test fixtures as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in test or factory operations, or automotive diagnosis and repair
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly
- Experience with vehicle communication systems such as CAN, LIN and Ethernet
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
- Flexibility to travel domestically/internationally (up to 25%)
