What will you do?
This position is accountable for delivery of technical product training for the Plant Automation software and hardware to meet the curriculum requirements for distributor sales and specialists and Schneider Electric sales and support staff. This includes maintenance and improvement of existing curriculum modules as well as development and launch of new content.
Content delivery will be achieved through a mix of recording of video e-learning sessions, instructor led webinar sessions, virtual instructor-led training (VILT) and in-person classroom sessions. In-person training will usually be conducted at a Schneider Electric Hub facility, preferably the Raleigh Hub facility in Morrisville, NC, and there will be some travel to offsite locations for classroom training.
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
The ideal candidate would have an existing knowledge of Ecostruxure Control Expert and Ecostruxure Automation Expert as well as experience with the Modicon M580 and M340 PLC hardware lines.
- Thorough understanding of electrical basics, electrical automation control and Automation control architectures
- Knowledge of the Industrial communications protocols and networks
- Knowledge of PLC and PAC configuration and troubleshooting
- Advanced skills for group presentation and group training of technical subject matter via in-person and virtual platforms
- Ability to assess training needs and adapt materials to meet group requirements
- Content development using source material from subject matter experts and marketing collateral, including both presentation content, practical lab exercises, and handout materials
Travel: In-person training will usually be conducted at a Schneider Electric Hub facility, preferably the Raleigh Hub facility in Morrisville, NC and there will be some travel to offsite locations for classroom training up to 25%.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent, or related work experience.
- Minimum 4 years field experience or equivalent involving programming of automation solutions on PLC/PAC/DCS platforms for large scale control.
- Minimum 3 years of technical training experience in the distribution of industrial products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including technical writing and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a team approach.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft OS, Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), MS Project. Familiarity with cloud-based training platforms is an advantage.
- Knowledge of products related to the factory automation industry, motion control, drives, PLCs, and communication networks.
