JOB SUMMARY: This position is part of the Office of Environmental Management - Carlsbad Field Office, Department of Energy. As a Program Manager, you will be you will planning, scheduling, integrating, budgeting and executing mission scope. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Program Manager, you will: Develop contract specifications/tasking and review contractor-performed work related to design, engineering, operation, maintenance, construction, and repair of assigned facilities, buildings, grounds, utilities, and equipment. Lead development of goals, objectives, and strategic plans, which define the long-term emphasis and focus of the program. Evaluate contractor performance and overall program effectiveness in terms of mission accomplishment, schedule and budget, quality, quantity and environment, safety, and health standards, procedural, policy, and regulatory compliance, and technical competence. Direct studies, surveillances, assessments, and validations to identify trends and develop forecasts of directions in the program within and outside the agency.
