Job Description and Duties
Under supervision and general direction of a Branch Chief in the Office of Photogrammetry and Preliminary Investigations (OPPI) (a Senior Transportation Surveyor), the incumbent engages in the production of quality aerial mapping products and provides support for aerial mapping activities.
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Transportation Surveyor exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions. Special Requirements
- Appointment to Range D requires a valid Professional Land Surveying License issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. For all other ranges, this is not required.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
