The position is located in the truck pre-development area and is part of a pre-development project for megawatt charging. Megawatt charging is a key technology for battery-electric trucks with some technical challenges. Within the framework of the project, different concepts are analyzed, a prototype system of a charging path is set up and evaluated with regard to technical feasibility. In a step that is still missing, suitable cell chemistries for medium-term series use are to be evaluated.
In addition to the technical feasibility, the economic parameters of a possible concept are also relevant for the customer.
You can look forward to these tasks:
- Familiarization with the topic and literature research
- Development of an evaluation framework to derive cell requirements with regard to technical properties (e.g. minimum energy density) and economic properties (e.g. maximum cell price)
- Definition of application-oriented analysis scenarios
- Derivation of scenario-specific cell requirements
- Evaluation of specific cell options based on data sheets in the defined observation scenarios
- Potential analysis compared to today's cell concepts
- Discussion of the results and outlook for further optimisation opportunities
- Collaboration in a dynamic and flexible pre-development team
