The Electrical Apprentice will work under the direction of an Electrician performing installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assistwith safely planning and completing Main Panel Upgrades (MPU)
Assistwith diagnosing and troubleshooting system components to resolve electrical issues
Ensure work performed is of good craftsmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes
Assistwith diagnosing and troubleshooting system components to resolve electrical issues
Ensure work performed is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes
Determinewhenadditionalmaterial isto complete job
Document project by taking photos and completing work orders
MaintainCompany vehicle stocked with proper tools and equipment
Maintains adherence to Company policies, environmental health and safety policies and good housekeeping practices
Identifiesgaps in safety standards as well as safety risks in the environment andprovidesrecommendations to higher level technical staff and management
Follow OSHA, NEC, AHJ and Utility requirements
Ensure job sites are left clean
Perform other duties as assigned
Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Certifications:
Mustpossessor obtain an Apprentice License within state of employment if applicable
Minimum 2 years of electrical installation and repair experience preferred
High School Graduate or GED
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to effectively manage work to achieve required timelines
Must be experienced with all required hand and power tools associated with the electrical trade
Ability to read and interpret single line drawings
Mustmaintaina cleandriving recordand validstatedriver's license
