We are now seeking a motivated and skilled Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team, focused on expanding our presence in the Energy Storage Systems (ESS) segment within the Southeast Asian market. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in attracting new customers and establishing strong relationships with key players in the EV charging field, Distribution System Operators (DSOs), and Telecommunication (Telco) operators.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify, target, and engage potential customers in the ESS market space. Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to attract new clients, generating sales leads through market research and competitor analysis.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Understand their needs, requirements, and pain points, and provide tailored solutions to meet their unique ESS demands.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of Energy Storage Systems, including battery technologies, charging infrastructure, and grid integration solutions. Offer expert technical advice and consultation to customers, addressing technical queries and concerns effectively.
- Market Analysis: Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in the ESS market, EV charging industry, DSOs, and Telco operators in South East Asia. Analyze market demands, opportunities, and competition to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Collaborative Engagement: Interact with internal engineering and product development teams to ensure the seamless integration of customer requirements into our ESS solutions. Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations to potential clients. Tailor solutions to align with specific customer needs and requirements.
- Sales Targets: Set ambitious sales targets and work diligently to achieve and exceed them. Monitor sales performance regularly, taking proactive measures to enhance results.
- Trade Shows and Events: Represent the company at industry-related events, trade shows, and conferences. Network with potential clients and industry stakeholders to foster partnerships and business opportunities.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed sales records, customer interactions, and progress reports. Provide regular updates to management on sales forecasts, achievements, and challenges.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales and business development within the Energy Storage Systems, EV charging, or related industries in Southeast Asia.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Energy Storage Systems, battery technologies, grid integration, and EV charging infrastructure. Familiarity with Distribution System Operators and Telco operators' roles in the energy sector.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of local languages in the Southeast Asian market is beneficial.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Strong negotiation and persuasive skills.
- Market Awareness: Thorough knowledge of the Southeast Asian energy market, including regulatory frameworks and key stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and partners.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to identify customer challenges and offer effective solutions.
- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within the Southeast Asian region.
