Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar sales and engineering, with a proven track record of successfully closing substantial solar projects. This role involves sourcing leads, conducting site surveys, performing technical analyses, and developing comprehensive solar proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through sourcing and cold calling to generate qualified leads.
- Site Surveys: Conduct initial site assessments to gather critical information, including electricity bills, structural details, and other relevant data.
- Technical Analysis: Perform detailed technical analysis using PVSyst and conduct breakeven analysis to determine project viability and financial feasibility.
- Proposal Development: Create and deliver comprehensive, end-to-end solar proposals tailored to client needs, including system design, cost estimates, and project timelines.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) solar sales.
- Demonstrated success in closing 300-500 kW of solar sales per month.
- Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
- Professional engineering license is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, PVSyst, and other solar-related software and systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and persuade clients effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
