Fitch Solutions is currently seeking a Power & Renewables Analyst based out of our New York office.
The Power & Renewable Research team produces written and data-centric analysis of company-, technology- and sector-level developments for a global audience of public and private sector clients. Client presentations and advisory research projects also form part of the regular workload.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Take ownership of a suite of region-specific reports, datasets and 10-year forecasts.
- Identify and analyse key power market and renewable trends and articulate the risks and opportunities facing sector stakeholders up and down the value chain.
- Produce insightful and actionable research and contribute to ad hoc reports and special projects as you become a subject matter expert.
- Interact with and support our global sales team and with clients to communicate our industry views and drive engagement with our data.
- Support team leaders in the development of new research initiatives evolving with the industry.
What You Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Energy, Economics, Finance, International Relations or a related field.
- Relevant experience in power markets, renewable technology related analysis and research, or at least demonstrable interest and a willingness to learn in these fields.
- Demonstrable ability to solve problems using critical, rational and creative thinking.
- Strong writing and numeracy skills are essential; Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills also desirable
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- Existing knowledge of power market dynamics, electricity prices, transmission grids, power storage, renewables and broader topics such as decarbonisation.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely, while being able to convey key points effectively.
- Ability to work as part of a larger team and being willing to take on projects at short notice

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $65,000 and $75,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
