Position Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support Invenergy’s social impact team through various programs that including assisting community engagement initiatives, supporting donations and contributions efforts, and coordinating related events and employee engagement opportunities for Invenergy’s rapidly growing workforce and business. This position will report to Invenergy’s Manager of Social Impact within Invenergy’s Corporate Affairs and Brand department. The position will be on-site at Invenergy's headquarters in downtown Chicago, IL.
Maintain internal donations and contributions review and approval process.
Act as liaison for community engagement landscape across for over 60 operating wind, solar, and natural gas site personnel.
Plan, manage and execute internal volunteer opportunities for Chicago headquarters and other offices. Provide logistics support on-site and manage photography for events.
Maintain internal social impact web page.
Provide general support for purposeful and engaging social impact organized events in Chicago.
Support internal budget tracking and approval process.
Assist in the organization and creation of Invenergy’s annual Impact Report.
Provide general administrative support for Invenergy’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Coordinate between various teams to share community engagement stories and initiatives with external audiences.
Bachelor’s Degree
1-2 years relevant experience with organizing community engagement initiatives and event coordination.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Skilled at cultivating and managing relationships.
Strong organizational skills and a very high level of attention to detail.
Self-starter with a great work ethic who can work under pressure and maintain quality across multiple assignments.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high achieving, entrepreneurial environment.
Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in fields such as communications, marketing, social impact, philanthropy, nonprofit management or related fields.
Passion for the energy sector or environmental, social, governance (ESG) is a plus.
