Spark Power (USA) LLC, Fort Worth, TX seeks National Operations & OpEx Manager, Technical Services USA - Developing key corporate OpEx processes and initiatives to facilitate growth of the U.S. business in alignment with the vision and policy objective established and thereafter delegating the implementation of same to subordinate management and associates. Use of Continuous Improvement principles including Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), Value Stream Mapping and methods for end-to-end operational process improvement and developing and providing strategic direction on the implementation of continuous improvement processes, tools, and activities across all business functions to ensure effective control over continuous improvement activities, budgeting, revenue, customer satisfaction, and project-execution variance targets. Directing, controlling, and monitoring Project Darwin to optimally and efficiently manage, integrate, and scale day-to-day business functions in alignment with processes developed to support the business. Profit and Loss responsibility for the entirety of the US Technical Services entities of Spark Power as it relates to power industry operations and leadership including Low/Medium/High Voltage Construction and Commissioning, NETA, and Renewables including Solar, Wind & BESS and working with macro-economic trends in the industry to help support overall strategy, to include communicating with and presenting to C-level executives and senior leadership.
Responsibility for safety, quality, and project execution across 500+ projects annually, managing to set operating and capital budgets and customer contract review and alignment with Spark’s delegation of authority. Continuing to grow and develop Spark’s business in these regions that aligns with our overall go to market strategy. National operating responsibility and direct day-to-day operating control of the Southwest Region, which operates the NETA Testing Services division of Spark Power USA and the High Voltage Construction operating units to include navigating complex bid requirements and deadlines and managing the entire bid process for multi-disciplinary operations including Engineering, Construction, NETA Testing and Maintenance. Ensure that local and company H&S requirements and initiatives are upheld to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. Performing or overseeing completion of complex EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) projects including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, revenue recognition and accruals, change management, earned value analysis and project and executive reporting and developing Work Breakdown and Project GL/Cost Coding Structures for control and integrity of work defined by the contract and developing fully integrated cost control programs. Management and ownership of financial planning and analysis, including revenue, overhead, net income, and gross margin in order to effectively meet or exceed profitability, quality performance targets and other goals, ensuring weekly billable and utilization goals are met as defined.
Management of client and project stakeholders. Carrying out training, performance appraisal, compensation, employee recruiting, succession planning, and adherence to standards of conduct. Perform all aspects of contract negotiation, change order identification, submittal and approval, administration, establishing the system to carry out the contract including management of subcontractors as well as crafting comprehensive and legally sound contracts tailored to meet the unique needs of clients and projects. Review of project financials reports from project accounting with adequate backup for management, internal and external accounting and institution of financial controls and analyzing financial results on an ongoing basis, explaining variance from plan/budget and taking corrective action as required. Full operating system (ERP) – NetSuite and FieldAware - and application networks ownership and administrative responsibility for each US subsidiary including implementation and maintenance of ERP systems. Will travel 10% US to meet with company officials re: operations.

- Managing the entire bid process for multi-disciplinary operations including Engineering, Construction, NETA Testing and Maintenance, including opportunity assessment, strategy development, team coordination and submission;
- Navigating complex bid requirements and deadlines which must have included experience with NETA Testing operations and NETA industry knowledge and standards, including the development of Inspection and Test Plans and Quality Control Plans; Crafting comprehensive and legally sound contracts tailored to meet the unique needs of clients and projects to include conducting thorough contract reviews to identify potential internal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations; Implementation and maintenance of ERP systems and the software implementation life cycle, project management, business process management, requirements gathering, functional design, quality management, and change management including system operation of NetSuite and FieldAware;
- Use of project accounting and finance including design and development of solutions for Accounting, Financial Planning, Operational Finance, Procurement, Fixed Assets, Project Financials, and Sales Order Management working with Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus and Unit contract pricing mechanisms; Use of corporate financial planning, reporting and analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes as it relates to common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis using Excel, Workday Adaptive and Power BI; Working with project controls disciplines which must have included work on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, revenue recognition and accruals, change management, earned value analysis, and project and executive reporting;
