Job Description
To support your success as a Director – Energy (Conventional & Low Carbon), its important you have:
- Experience and credibility in the Oil & Gas sector with deep knowledge of project delivery strategy, project development and construction across major projects and portfolios.
- Established authentic relationships ideally with both national and international clients and understand the requirements for strategy, set-up, and delivery of capital projects & programs.
- Proven ability to build a pipeline of key clients and opportunities, pursuit planning, leading tender and bid teams, negotiate, and secure business opportunities.
- Identification of key talent and a trusted professional network in the market to continue to build the required capability to support you our Energy sector clients.
- Technical understanding of the energy sector and appliable skills in Study & Project Management, Commercial Management and Project Controls.
- A willingness to travel as appropriate within the region to connect with your colleagues and Clients in support of the growth of our Energy sector value offering.
- A track record of achieving business growth in the provision of advisory and delivery in a professional environment.
As a senior leader in the team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Senior Leadership: Provide strategic direction and senior leadership to the team, ensuring alignment with Turner & Townsend’s global vision and objectives.
- Market Intelligence: Develop and implement high-level business development strategies to expand our client base, secure major projects, and enhance market presence.
- Business Generation: Lead the development and execution of high-level business generation strategies, including pursuit planning, bidding, and key client program support.
- Sustainability Leadership: Champion efforts to integrate our sustainable practices into projects, focusing on decarbonisation and the transition to low carbon energy solutions.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate existing and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
- Manage Outcomes: Oversee the delivery aligned to client objectives, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
- Organizational Development: Mentor and develop senior team members, sharing sector insights, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Extensive (15+ years) experience working in the Energy sector, ideally in project development, with a proven track record in successfully delivering major projects and programs.
- Preference for Australian experience with an established network within the Energy sector.
- Proactive approach to business development via new and existing clients, including cross-selling opportunities, and leading pursuits and tenders.
- Experience of working within both client and consultant environments an advantage.
- Experience working with global accounts and a ‘key client’ partnering approach and supporting growth through such relationships.
- Have a passion for mentoring the team and future generations.
