About the role
As an experienced Contracts Administrator, you will support the Construction Manager with the oversight and input into commercial aspects of the project to ensure its successful completion. The typical scenario could be urban development projects experiencing disruptions, variations and delays.
You will have a strong contractual background with experience in administering contracts on urban development or civil construction projects. Your responsibilities will also include :
- preparing global insurance claims and creating standardised language and templates for schedules and appendices for specific trades.
- providing assistance to the Construction Manager on the compilation of the Head Contracts Departure Table based on the legal review and assessment of the project risk during tender preparation and negotiations.
- providing assistance to the Project Manager with the preparation of the project Head Contracts Notification Matrix and letter templates.
- preparing Subcontract and Supply Agreements that comply with BMD's commercial standards and best practices, and reflect the project specific Head Contract.
- negotiating Subcontract and Supply Agreements and following up to ensure execution according to the negotiated terms.
Prior experience in a similar role will be highly regarded, as well as experience using systems including SharePoint and Jobpac.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in an appropriate engineering, quantity surveying, finance, accounting, legal or business discipline is preferable.
- A commitment to the civil construction industry providing exemplary service to clients.
- Experience in the reporting, reviewing, and analysing of project financial performance will be highly regarded.
