Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with 6+ years of experience in IoT (Internet of Things) and AI technologies within a manufacturing environment. This role will lead the development and execution of IoT-enabled AI products designed to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and reduce operational costs.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and a demonstrated ability to leverage technologies such as machine learning, computer vision, predictive analytics, and cloud-based IoT platforms. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, R&D, data science, marketing, and sales to deliver innovative digital transformation solutions that drive measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for IoT and AI-driven manufacturing solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, data science, marketing, sales, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product development and delivery.
- Leverage AI technologies, including machine learning and computer vision, to enhance manufacturing operations through predictive maintenance, quality control automation, and process optimization.
- Oversee the integration of IoT devices, including sensors and actuators, with cloud platforms to capture and utilize real-time manufacturing data.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate requirements into actionable product features.
- Ensure IoT devices and AI systems comply with data security standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential market threats.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept and development through launch, adoption, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze data from IoT devices and AI systems to support decision-making and product enhancements.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment among globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; OR High School Diploma with 8 or more years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of product management experience with a focus on IoT solutions within the manufacturing industry.
- Experience with AI technologies such as machine learning, computer vision, or predictive analytics.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS IoT, AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT, or Azure IoT Hub for large-scale data collection and analysis.
- Strong understanding of IoT architecture, including hardware, software, and communication protocols.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, operational challenges, and the application of IoT and AI technologies within manufacturing environments.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in a product line leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate alignment and drive results in a cross-functional, globally distributed environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for non-technical audiences.
- Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to balance technology capabilities, profitability, customer value, and market competitiveness.
- Familiarity with Agile product development methodologies.
- Knowledge of data security protocols and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA in addition to a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
