Position Overview
As the Senior Associate, Project Controls Documents & Process, you will be responsible for supporting the Prevailing Wages & Apprenticeship compliance, Davis-Bacon Act compliance, Local and Domestic Content compliance, managing document control structures on Invenergy projects, auditing processes & reports, and managing reporting within the Documents & Process team. The Senior Associate role will be heavily focused on information integrity within the Construction Project Management system, ensuring processes within the system follow company standard, and providing support on key initiatives with the Senior Manager.
Responsibilities
- Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship Compliance: Oversee and manage compliance with prevailing wage laws and apprenticeship programs. Ensure proper documentation and reporting for all related activities.
- Davis-Bacon Act Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act, ensuring that wage rates and labor standards are upheld on relevant projects.
- Local and Domestic Content Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and domestic content requirements for all projects, verifying that all regulations are followed and documented.
- Document Control: Implement and manage document control processes to ensure the accuracy, organization, and accessibility of compliance-related documents.
- Process Auditing: Conduct regular audits of internal processes to ensure adherence to compliance requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Report Auditing: Review and audit compliance reports to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare detailed findings and recommendations based on audits.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay updated with changes in relevant regulations and ensure that the organization’s practices are aligned with current laws and standards.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams regarding compliance requirements and best practices.
- Setting up and maintaining projects in the construction project management system
- Creating and generating reports, analyzing data, identifying potential issues, and proposing solutions to Project Managers
- Provide support to the construction management team, as needed
- Promote good communication and coordination with other departments
- Guide and support project management team members as needed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a compliance, auditing, or regulatory role, with a strong focus on Prevailing Wage, Davis-Bacon Act, and Local Content Compliance.
- 2+ Years of document control and/or process auditing experience
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ Years of renewable energy experience
- 1+ Years of construction experience
- Advanced certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA)
- In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to prevailing wage, apprenticeship programs, Davis-Bacon Act, and local content requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficient in document control systems and auditing methodologies.
- Excellent solution-seeking, teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills
- Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions and follow tasks to completion with minimal direction
- Experience with project coordination and management of projects with multiple levels of interface between vendors, internal staff, and other stakeholders preferred
