Job Summary:
Lakin Tire East, a Liberty Tire Recycling company, is seeking a reliable and safety focused Driver Helper to assist our driver with daily loading in Cherry Hill, NJ. This role plays a critical role in efficient loading, providing an extra set of eyes on the road, and trailer maneuvering.
This position involves physical work, including loading tires and assisting with trailer operations daily.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the driver with backing trailers and maneuvering safely
- Serve as a spotter during backing, parking and tight spaces
- Stacking the tires in the trailer
- Provide a second set of eyes on the road by monitoring traffic, obstacles, hazards
- Perform safety checks as needed
- Help maintain a clean and organized vehicle
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift and carry tires safely, repeatedly
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow directions and prioritize safety at all times
- Previous warehouse, delivery, moving or driver helper experience is a plus
Compensation: $18-20/hr
