About the Role

IHS Towers is looking for an experienced Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Administrator to join its Rosebank, Johannesburg team, providing administrative, reporting, compliance and coordination support across the HSSE function.

The role will focus on maintaining accurate HSSE records, reports, registers, databases and compliance documentation while supporting health and safety, security, environmental and audit-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative and coordination support to the HSSE department.
Maintain HSSE records, databases, registers and filing systems.
Manage HSSE policies, procedures, standards and related documentation.
Compile daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual HSSE reports.
Collect, verify and consolidate HSSE performance data.
Maintain incident, accident, security, training, audit and corrective action registers.
Maintain site access, security vetting and contractor compliance records.
Support internal and external HSSE audits and inspections.
Track audit findings, corrective actions and compliance requirements.
Assist with occupational health and safety programmes and environmental initiatives.
Maintain training records, attendance registers and competency documentation.
Support incident investigations through accurate documentation and record keeping.
Assist with contractor, visitor and site access compliance administration.
Maintain security-related reports and documentation.
Support the administration of outsourced security service providers.
Coordinate HSSE meetings, workshops, toolbox talks and awareness activities.
Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, agendas, minutes and action trackers.
Maintain contractor and vendor compliance documentation.
Assist with vendor onboarding, procurement and contract administration.
Monitor document validity dates and compliance requirements.
Ensure HSSE information is securely maintained, confidential and readily accessible.

Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12.
Relevant Higher Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Security Management, Risk Management, Business Administration, Environmental Sciences or a related field.
3–5 years' experience in HSSE administration, compliance, security administration, operational support or a similar environment.
Experience maintaining reports, records, registers, databases and filing systems.
Knowledge of legislation relating to vetting and POPIA/POPI.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Advantageous Experience

HSSE, HSE, SHEQ or Security Operations experience.
Incident and accident reporting.
Risk and compliance administration.
Occupational health and safety systems.
Contractor and vendor compliance.
Environmental management and sustainability reporting.
HR administration and investigation processes.
MIE fingerprint capturing.
Telecommunications, infrastructure, security or operational experience.
