WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the
Director Sustainability, you will play a vital role in fulfilling our purpose of making the world a happier place.
Leading the
act GREEN team of multi-disciplinary experts, you will guide our internal sustainability transformation to support act.3’s intention to become a truly purpose-driven company. Your work will also help evolve our act GREEN services, creating opportunities that bring communities together, cultivate knowledge, and drive positive change.
Your efforts will also be intrinsically linked to your collaboration with our People Strategy experts and the People Management team. This partnership will anchor necessary changes in organizational practices and champion a culture of learning, well-being, and interconnectivity across the company.
You’ll be part of something significant, taking on a wide range of responsibilities that will help steer our company’s future and contribute to planetary health and societal well-being. - Sense.Understand and align with the business strategy, evaluating both external developments and internal realities to identify opportunities for positive action.
- Guide.Lead and mentor a diverse team of six sustainability professionals, supporting their professional development and fostering a healthy work environment based on shared leadership.
- Consult.Collaborate with the management team of act.3, offering strategic guidance on decision-making processes, and provide tailored recommendations and concepts to external clients to meet their specific needs.
- Steer.Work collaboratively with your team to drive, review, and evolve existing strategies and initiatives, ensuring they align with our shared goals.
- Monitor.Develop and track meaningful metrics to assess the effectiveness of your initiatives, adapting plans with agility and responsiveness.
- Apply.Implement and uphold workflows and standards in business processes, ensuring they reflect our commitments.
- Exchange.Build strong, cross-functional relationships within the organization to facilitate smooth and effective implementation of initiatives, as well as with external stakeholders to broaden our influence.
- Educate:Advise on the development and delivery of upskilling & development programs across the organization to nurture the mindset shift that’s needed for a successful sustainability transformation .
- Create.Co-create innovative and impactful pitches and project offers, cultivating long-lasting relationships with both existing and new partners.
- Adapt:Stay informed about industry trends, innovations and regulatory changes, ensuring our organization remains compliant, competitive, and relevant.
- Reflect:Regularly assess and refine your own work and strategies, using insights from successes and challenges to enhance your impact and contribution.
WHO YOU ARE

- Experienced.You have sufficient relevant experience in a leading position in areas such as Sustainability, Organizational Transformation, Systems Thinking or similar fields. Ideally, you have been navigating different organizational settings such as corporate, agency, start-up or non-profit environments.
- Knowledgable.You possess a broad generalist understanding of sustainability and business strategy, enabling you to guide the organization on the right paths. You collaborate effectively with subject-matter experts within the team and the wider organization to leverage their expertise.
- Skilled.You feel confident in guiding teams and individual development, in utilizing your strategic thinking abilities to inform decision-making and in effectively presenting and facilitating conversations in both group and individual settings.
- Communication-driven.You are business fluent in English, ideally also in German. You have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to quickly build rapport with employees and partners.
- Structured.You have strong abilities in organization, time and resource management and are comfortable with planning and handling budgets.
- Independent.You have a hands-on mentality and can lead multiple projects simultaneously, ideally with experience in agile organizations.
- Curious:You lead by example and keep yourself informed about the latest developments in the shift towards a regenerative economy through your commitment to independent, continuous learning.
- Passionate.You have an intrinsic passion to contribute to planetary health and societal wellbeing and are excited to work in the context of sports, nature & culture.
- Connected.You are connected to inspiring people and ideally have some contacts in the sports industry or cultural scene, as these are major playing fields for act.3.
